Shut Up and Buy My Stuff

You’ll have to excuse me if my typing is a little jittery.  I just got off the phone with a potential customer and I’ve been kicking myself.  The guy called to inquire about one of my company’s services.  He said he would like to get his company to pay for the training.  If Stevie Ray’s had a certain accreditation he could get reimbursed.  My response when he asked if we were accredited…the response from a guy who trains people to think on their feet…the response of a guy who has spent years training in creative business… the response was, “No.”

From the Ranks of the Unemployed

I wish everyone could be unemployed for a while.  Of course I don’t want to wish unemployment on anyone, but I find so many lessons from those who are meeting that challenge.  I have worked with a few people lately who are working to get work, and participated in a conference designed for the unemployed seeking to not be.  There were two types of people at the seminar, those whom you could tell would be employed soon… and the rest.
