I have a plea to the directors of training, marketing consultants, and HR directors of corporate America. Borrowing loosely from Moses, “Let the people out.” Let the real people out at work. Don’t cover them up with scripted lines, phony phone greetings, and plastic smiles. When I walk into your store I want to see a real human being. Heck, with internet shopping so convenient and inexpensive, the only reason we really need to visit a storefront building is to get that moment of human contact that reminds us we are part of a society.
