To Enhance Performance, Steal from the Arts

We all know the difference between creatives and analyticals.  Creative right-brain people are intuitive, random, and subjective.  Left-brain people are logical, rational, and objective.  So it stands to reason that creatives would abhor any form of structure, whereas analyticals would take to it like a Lutheran to hotdish.  Imagine my surprise to find that so many corporations lack the simplest order for team projects; conversely, people in creative professions actually thrive when given a construct.  Quite literally, creativity is born of structure.
