This is our Introduction to Improv class. You don’t have to be an actor, you just have to want to have fun! In this four hour workshop, we explore the improv landscape through exercises designed to lubricate your brain and let those ideas flow. There’s lots of great yelling, too! Never been involved in theater before? No problem. This class is about experiencing the zing of creating funny stuff with kids just like you. Everybody gets to be right, nobody gets to be wrong. You’ll learn to bite into new ideas and shake them until something brilliant falls out. Plus, there’s pizza! Cost: $45.00 (includes pizza lunch) Saturday, September 25 , 10:00a.m.-2:00p.m. Saturday, October 16, 10:00a.m.-2:00p.m. To register: Contact Improv Nation Director Peter Simmons at peter@stevierays.org |

| SEVEN REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD JOIN AN IMPROV CLASS AT STEVIE RAY’S |
|||
![]() |
When you really dissect it, there are even more reasons to join an improv class at Stevie Ray’s. Improvisation, or improv, has no script, but there are guidelines and techniques that we teach that help you think on your feet and develop new skills. The results can be very funny. Quite simply, it’s a great way for adults to play. All this may sound intimidating, especially if you don’t have experience. The majority of our students have no experience before joining class, and they include young adults through senior citizens, able-bodied and physically challenged... you name it. If this sounds like something you would like to try, give us a call. After all, there are plenty of good reasons why you should try improv, but we can’t think of one why you shouldn’t.
